Help with Shifter

The shifter in my truck is very loose you can move it around and I was wondering how to tighten it up so there is no play in it and have it harder to put in and out of gear?

If you take off the lower & upper steering column covers the shifter assembly is mounted to the columm, You can disconnect the shift cable & brake interlock & remove the shifter asm for inspection. As I recall from installing my floor shifter & removing the column shifter there is a ball & sleeve that could be worn on your shifter. I also thought there was a spring in there also but cant really remember, when I took mine out it went straight to the round can.

Ok I didn't know if there were screws or anything that needed to be tightened
