You've got to paint it to match. I don't have one yet, but I've done my homework and it's on my list. I know where to get it the cheapest too!

Yep. I took an ash-tray in AutoZone and bought some Dupli Color interior paint that matched it perfectly.
Picture from the night I finished the install. It looks like the pod is a lighter color but that's just the way it photographs, looks the same in person.

i had my piller pod on for about a year and didn't get a single picture. You do have to paint it. I used it for my air gauges and let me tell you it was a pain to get in and take out with the air line. I figure if you just had wire you could leave enough slack to be able to take it in and out. I really liked mine, but I am not putting it back in with the air line.

mine was custom made and got cracked when I took it off, I figure it could be fixed, but it would cost as much to fix it as it would to get the autometer piece. The only reason we custom made mine is because we ordered the full pillar and they just sent us the smaller 3 pod universal. We ran out of time so we just had to make it work. I would sell it to you, but I would feel real bad selling it in the condition it is in now.

Yeah, When I test fitted it you have to force it in there pretty hard..We'll see how it turns out!

I had a shop do my wiring on my digital gauges but anyways i put pod in place i had to dremel the pod and dash slightly and then i taped up the dash super thick and then stuffed a towl in there..... ended up with no scratches somehow ;)

I've never wired gauges & was wanting to know how hard it would be to add a new temp & oil pressure gauges to an A piller pod? thanks for any help.

electric guages are easy, they only need 18g wiring if i remember correctly (nice and small) i used 14g and it was too much, but i had a ton of wiring to do at the time, and it's what i had.
there's 4 wires, switched power, ground, sending unit, and light. piece of cake. use zip ties to keep it all neat. :charge:

oh yeah, and you'll need to buy the sending units for each guage as well. oil pressure , you'll need to "T" off behind the intake or above the oil filter to an oil pressure port, and the coolent is on the drivers side head, you'll need a "t" there too.

Cool, I'm assuming the "T" is to branch the new gauge with the old one on the same sending unit. Thanks.
