I picked this gauge overlay up today, or should I say it got thrown in on a deal. Anyway its for a 96-99 FSC, yukon, tahoe, burb, all that good chit. Only thing thats different about it from my 95 cluster is the tach reading goes to 6k. I kinda held it up to my cluster and it looks like it would be reading around 300 rpms fast with this new overlay. Say I was actually turning 2k rpms, with this overlay it would be showing around 2500 rpms. I guess my question is there any way to recalibrate the tach to register right on this overlay? If there is no way it will work right I'll probably just sell it and do without or get the right one.

get your truck warm take a reading off all guages at idle, pull apart change face, start truck back up and put needles back in position,if it read 900rpms at idle before why would it be any different

You missed the point. Point is my trucks cluster is the same as the 96-99 except my tach reading goes from 0-5000, the overlay goes from 0-6000 in the same sweep area. That means its never actually gonna read right. I think I'll just post it for sale since its not right and find one that is right sometime.

naaa sonny boy you missed the point ,ive got the same APC piece of **** on my 95,yeah it goes to 6000RPM my 95 will never see 6000 and either will yours, they both start at the same rpm only the 96 finishes at 6 I dont see the situation here ,my RPM runs excatly like it did before ,no problems at all

I don't really see how thats possible that it reads the same when the distance from 0-2000 on my stock cluster is about the same as 0-2500 on the APC one. My rev limiter is set at 5200 and WOT shifts at 5000 but even so my tach only goes to 4500, damn thing. Oh well I'll just let it be for now.

I don't think there is a way to make it work on your 1995 cluster.
