Ok, We took my dash out, scuffed it up, shot it with polyester high build primer, sanded it smooth and then shot is black. My orginal idea was going to be to do the top of the dash black, then do the Gauge/Radio Bezel Impulse Blue Metallic (same color as the new GTO's). I'm having second thoughts thinking the black may be too dark for the interior. What are ya'll opinions?

ounds like a great idead, but with a black dash in summer inside that truck is going to be boiling but. I would go with the blue if it was me you got to post some pics when you get it done:bling:

I'm not really worried about the heat factor, its a show truck more than anything so I just drive it when I want or when I'm headed to a show so thats not much of a factor. I have a bagged sunfire that i can cruise around in to avoid the heat and all!

Well in that case I would go with the black then, it will look super clean espically for a show

i painted my dash the same color as the truck it came out real nice. its a dark blue and at night it looks black. i dont think the black dash will look bad. hell everything else on your truck is black so go with the same color sceme on the inside. i think it would look ****. i deff wanna see pictures. theres pictures of my interior in my profile.

just a quick question, how much of a pain was it to get the dash apart ? i only went as far as smoothing door panels/dash bezel and the lower panel under the steering wheel. Only piece I got left is the main dash piece, the "bar hand grip thingy" above the glovebox door and the glovebox door itself. I got annoyed with the bar thing trying to take it off when i was smoothing and it never made it off yet , any tips ?

its not fun at all, I did mine, took out, sanded and basecleared it to match my porsche blue, but i would honestly consider custom, i should have gone that route, by the time you take it all out, you might as well build a custom dash then when you pay the money to have it painted atleast its different then before, dont get me wrong I love my dash, but if i could take it back i would deff go custom
