well heres the first time i relocated my controls
http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=156427

BUT this time i want to build a middle console for a 12inch RE SX sub. BUT it will run the full length of the truck from dash to rear bench.....
SO the new box WILL block my current heater control location :(

looken for some sugestions...... WHERE TO PUT THE CONTROLS NEXT?

thought about ontop of my box all the way infront BUT not sure how that would look.
OR all the way upfront on the box again BUT on the side.

only other location i can think of is in the glove box BUT since im loosen my middle console i might need the whole glove box for stuff....

BUT i might also be able to fit it inside a overhead console....
what you guys think?

i have a overhead console that i had in my old S10 jimmy that i molded it to fit in that truck. BUT not sure if it will fit in thier either.....

heres a picture of the controls that i choped down...

SORRY crappy pictures.. that was before i got my good camera ;)

but im not sure if it will fit into a overhead console or not......
not sure about if infront of the thing where the temp/compass display is. tho i dont have any wires so dont plan on using it myself....
BUT its preaty tight fit up thier.... not sure how i can mold it in thier..... id have to cut it loose from my current location before i could test fit it....

forgot to say but ill also be closing up the opening in my dash for the screen so it folds up right around the screen!

my tint idea was good at night... BUT the tint reflection was horible with any light!!!!!!!!!

definatly be closing up the opening so i wont have to use any tint this time! i might do just clear plexiglass. OR i might not use any... i dont remember what the screen was like when i had it out..... if its not smooth then ill cover it wiht some clear plexiglass....

dang... now i got to figure out how to place this sub.....
just went out thier and measured and the sub is JUST to big.. at least for where i was gonna put it....firing angled up and forwards right infront of the rear bench seat. BUT now ive either gotta downfire the sub OR section out the bench seat to put the box back further...... OR build the box to go above the rear bench and mount the sub in the middle of the seat.....

not sure which way to do it yet.... but if i section the seat out i could still fold it up and down if needed.
BUT the seat will be like that forever then.... have to buy a new seat if i change my mind....
man decisions decisions.....

talk about little things biting my design in the @ss!!!!!!!
