OK, so last Saturday I found myself wandering around a local junkyard, when I found my jackpot..... an instrument bezel for a '95-'98 FSC. I'm planning on putting a 5.1" LCD in the factory head unit space, and a DVD/CD-R combo drive right below that. I'm going to move my AC/Heat down as low as I can to clear everything. Everything will be hooked to a PC that I am building. I'm planning on glassing over the factory spots for the cargo light switch, 4wd, etc. Also I will have 2 USB 2.0 ports, and an IR-recieving eye.
My dilema lies in that I'm not sure whether or not to keep my factory cup holders that come out of the dash. It just seems like it's too d@mn close to the LCD for my taste. I don't think it'll be too much of a problem to glass a new corner onto the bezel to cover everything up.
I'm also debating on whether or not to keep the cargo light switch, or to write the code on the PC to switch it on & off.
I'll get some pics this weekend if I get a chance to work on it. Any input, suggestions, or criticisms is greatly welcomed & appreciated.
