radio buttons dont work

alright, so on my 90 1500 scottsdale, the buttons on the radio console dont work, well half way. if its a button that has up and down, like volume or the heat/cool button, if you press the left side it works, but the right side doesnt. i think they're just dirty, cause if you play with it a while it will work some. how do you take them off, and clean them, thanks for any help

i would say just buy a new radio for it. but do what you want.

Im not sure how the buttons come off, but :word: on the other choices. The kit with the new dash bezel (for aftermarket headunits) is around $15-20 I THINK, and then you could just get a $30-40 radio w/ tape deck (theres usually the el cheapo model somewheres at WalMart in the auto section) to hold you over.

well, the radio works fine, so does the heat and all that, i just think the buttons are dirty at the contacts. ill get a good one later, but right now im not real concerned. my last car didnt have a radio at all so that no big deal.
