Alright, im thinking of throwing air ride on the silverado. I want to make a console that runs down the middle of my front seats but theres a problem. As some of you know, the middle seat is connected with the drivers seat. Any possible way of taking this off or am I going to have to cut it? Thanks ahead of time.

Cut it? You are kidding right? If it is a 60/40 (OBS) then just replace the seat. If it is a 40/20/40 (NBS) then just pull the jump seat out.

Easy, if its a NBS (00+) You can remove the center jumpseat. If it is OBS (99-) Then you have to figure somehting out if you have the bench seat. If you have buckets, no big deal.

werd NBS you have to take out both seats then remove the center.

So with NBS 40/20/40 you have to take out both outside seats before getting to the jump seat? I bought my dad's 99 over the weekend and drove it home about 3 hours yesterday and was dying without an armrest. Was hoping that I could pull the jump seat and find something that folds down. Does that exist, or do I need to go to a 60/40 split for that?
BTW, this is my first post and I spent all last night reading threads here on various topics I'm interested in (adding power locks/alarm, seat changeout, power windows, exhaust, etc)...lots of great info here...great site!

your dad's must be a base model because there is a center cosole jump seat taht folds up and down that will replace the center seat he has now.

Thanks for the info! Yeah, its about as base as they came I think...you talk about a blank canvas. I'm going out hunting for that center piece today. Anyone know of any junk yards in the Houston area?
