hey i just bought a 93 GMC 1500 with Z-71 suspension, 4.3 V-6. i lifted up the rubber floor may and found a little rust then i lifted it up further and saw a bad sight. there was a good size rot spot forming and 3 small pin needle holes so i ran down to the local napa and and picked up this stuff called rust mort. i put some on and i looked to work alright but i would like someone to reply that has some experiance with it and if its actully worth $17 a quart. and can someone answer the question of whether my truck is a 5 speed or a 4 speed? it has a granny gear, 3 regular gears, and an overdrive.
any help is appreciated:damnit:

never heard of it ,but when I had my interior out and was installing my stereo,I had a lil rust by the door sills so I POR 15ed the complete floor
Never used it,its made by SEM. Have used the POR15,dont know if it works, havent had it on anything long enough to tell. Have to wait 5 years or so to find out.:D

I POR-15ed my engine block with the kit they sell.
I've used engine rattle-can paint on a couple of blocks, but none of it lasted for more than a month or a couple thousand miles.
This engine smoked a LOT and stunk bad for the first 300 miles or so, now it's like part of the block. I tried to gouge it with a screwdriver and the stuff was like steel. Not a single bit of flaking and I've put about 2,900 miles on the truck and oil and coolant have been seeping on it pretty steady (bad oil pressure sending unit and a leaky upper rad. hose). POR-15 is liquid gold and the engine enamel is fricken awesome too.
