Well ladies and gents, I've been up, down, around, and all over the place trying to decide what to do with my truck.
I finally decided to say f*** it and buy a newer one.
Now I've got to sell off all my goodies and Old Blue. The only problem is that I am unsure of how to proceed. I'd like to make at least 80%+ off my old chit of what the newer truck costs but everything is OBO. I hope to have a lot of stuff coming up for sale soon and will be shipping SOME of the items. Some (like this one) won't so much be shipped, since it's 1/3 of a truck. I could maybe deliver within like 50 miles or so.
I got a cab (had to drive a long friggen way to get it) for Old Blue. It's complete minus ECM and main interior wiring harness had been cut before I bought it. It's from a 3/4 ton Silverado and is Maroon/Silver two-tone on red interior.
Bad: Windshield is smashed in on driver's side. Will need a GOOD shampooing as it smells a little from storage. Dent on passenger side back pillar. Small soft rust spot on passenger side corner. Rockers appear fine. Doors are a little rusty and bowed slightly outward since I was going to replace them anyway, it was the only way to secure it to the trailer by ratchet strapping it down and closing the doors. Could be bent back by hand fairly easy. Oh, yeah, a bit of a chunk is missing out of the blinker arm thingy.
Good: ALL interior present with the exception of where the aftermarket radio insert goes. Partially disassembled for swap with all bolts (and extra seat bolts) accounted for. No cracked plastic, no torn fabric. Sliding rear window. Clearance lights installed (look factory). Column included that looks to be in darn good shape. Comes with a big arse pallet to roll it around on. One castor will need to be replaced, but it still rolls around fine. Seatbelts are good.
$800. Make me an offer, though. Need to move it so I have room and can start work on my new truck. With cost of the cab originally and diesel fuel and loaded mile charge from my buddy that drove me and his trailer to get it, I'm losing money.
I could probably make that or more parting it out...but don't want to go through all of that. I've tried to be as specific and detailed as possible. Any questions just PM or e-mail.
Edit: I'm going to be posting Old Blue as soon as I get pictures. Would consider a package deal with the cab and you'd be able to have an 88 Silverado with minimal rust/dent repair.
