View Full Version : OBS A/C Controls Lens Color Change?

I read somewhere a while back about someone changing the lense on the radio or a/c control in an OBS truck to blue instead of green. I did a search on everything I could think of, but didn't turn up anything. Can anyone help me out, sounds like a good weekend project for me!

word to the wise, BE CAREFUL.

most of the plexi sold at stores are too thick. I bought some and some translucent paint, looked great, except i tightened too much and it broke the lcd screen.

I just bought some 1/8 thick transparent red plexi off of ebay. It was $16.24 including shipping for a 12"x24" piece. If it is too thick, you could just sand down the back side and keep going finer with your paper until no scratches show through. I also bought some red wide angle led's to do the gauges with too. I will post up some pics when I finish.

It shouldnt be too thick, there is quite a bit of room between the glass and the screen.
