The time has come to sell this truck. 350 engine, 5-speed manual trans, owned for 1 year, spent all the rest of its life in TX. I have a printed CARFAX to verify, or you could just look under the thing and see that theres no rust AT ALL.

NEW PARTS IN LAST YEAR: Windshield, inner & outer tie rods, idler arm, front brake pads & hoses, wheel bearing repack, front shocks, plugs, wires, ECT sensor, EGR valve, IAC, wheel alignment, regular oil changes.

THE GOOD: Rust free! Only some surface rust from where a ladder rack was once mounted, and chrome on front grille is shot. AC works, only blows cool, but converted to R134A, and I have a spare can sitting around. Has grille guard and tool box.

THE BAD: Big dent in pass side bed from previous owner hitting a pole at a gas station. Cloth on dirvers seat worn through. Speedometer reads off about 8-10 mph @ highway speeds due to rear axle being swapped out in the past. Has cruise control, but not working. I think the stalk is bad. Some play in steering gear box. Can be adjusted out, I have the procedure, but not the time to drop the box and do it. Engine burns/leaks some oil. Varies with temperature and load on the engine. I just make sure to keep it topped off. Odometer shows 320,000 miles, but true mileage is unknown due to rear axle. The engine is a replacement, this truck originally had a 305. It has the correct chip in the ECM and the 55 lb/hr injectors. Runs good.

Pics are available, PM or e-mail for them. I drove this truck on a 500 mile round trip a month ago without issue, its dependable. Bought a 4x4, don't need this truck any more. I have records of all service I have done to this truck. Title is clean. Asking $1600.

Played with steering gear box, still some play, but steering is much improved. Also topped off AC, works OK now.

I've got a few questions about your listing...
How is the clutch?
Do you have any other pictures?
Could you give me your zip or full city name- I'd like to know how far away you are. I am in Southern Iowa.
I'm sure I'll have a few more Q's, but that is it for now...
Thanks!

Looks like he's in Jefferson City, about 5 hours from the Missouri/ Iowa state line. If I had the money to spare the truck would be mine.

Craziness.. that's a slammin' deal for a nice 1/2 ton extended long. Maybe some people are afraid to be different and cruise a longbed :D but I sure love 'em, as you can see in my sig.

C'mon people - when you pull up in a tight lowered longbed, people double-take. I even had one dude ask me "Is it supposed to be that long or did you make that?"

DITTO All That, PLUS, You can haul your kids, your boat, and a stack of full length plywood in the back if you ever need to. My 88 longer-than-long truck is by far the most reliable vehicle that I have ever even heard of. The only drawback: You need about 100' wide street to make a u-turn. The longbed rides smoother than a shortbed though. Somebody should pony up full price for this little gem.
