Dash Question

Hey guys I have a quick question about obs dashes.
I have a 90 1500 and obviously a 90 dash but my parts truck is a 93 which is the same dash but different cluster I'm wondering if I can swap out the dash from my 93 into the 90? the reason i'm asking is because the *$&%ing dash wiring in the 90 just caught *$&%ing fire and i'm stuck with no truck unless I can swap dashes. Any help would be greatly appreciated

do you wanna swap entire dashes? or just the gauges? either way it should be pretty straight forward, assuming you know how to deal with wires and everything.

I'm gunna switch the whole dash I just wanna know if i can swap my computer and stuff onto the other dash like if the firewall and computer plugs are the same so it'll plug right in.

not everything is gonna be the same. there will be some difference. like the guages plug-ins are different between the years, if i'm not mistaken. i think the computers are different, not a lot, but enough to get you thinking about what goes where. does that help?

if the computer plugs are different that might mess me up becuase my parts truck is a 6 cyl and my truck is a 5.7 but i could just run the guages from the 6 i dont care about that

the computers are different if i'm not mistaken between a v6 and the 5.7l bud.

yes, you can swap dashes. most of the wiring are the same. but i recommend going on e-bay to get a dealer book just to make sure the wiring color codes are correct, and also assembly and dis-assembly of dashes.
