If you were to build a custom center console what would you put into it? Like lighter plugs, cup holders, anything...I need ideas. So far its housing two 12's, cupholders, lighter outlets, some switches, two amps, and neons. What would you add?

Can you post a pic of it?
I would put a dc to ac converter and have the plugs mounted in the console on the side.

Each of my 12's needs a min of 1.75 cubic feet of interior space, and they need a backspacing of ~6" they are pretty small. Most of the console will be 5/8's MDF, at least the sealed box section, the rest i'm still contemplating.

I'm leaving mine as factory looking as possible, but I am working on refridgerating the main compartment.

Currently I am using a console that has refrigeration. It takes a while for it to get cold.

Did you make it or did you buy it? Where's you get it? Pics?

The little peltier cooler I assume? They are not really meant to get cold just keep things cold. I have a couple of the little portable ones, worked well for my wife's insulin when she was pregnant, ran it off a second isolated battery so I could leave it running all the time.
I put a 12v plug inside my center console so the cell phone cord could stay in it instead of out in the open.

It is a power on board cooler. It is 9 inches wide and about the length of my seats. I would post pics but I don't know how to.

I really want to get this project started. I'm going on several long road trips over the next 6 months...

over winter break I made one for my truck. I put cupholders from West Marine in it, as well as a pocket I found there too. I put in 4 marine grade switches and LEDs inside.

How did you build the curves into that console? did you fiberglass them in?

I forgot to mention, I put a 12v jack inside mine so as to hide my cell phone cord or whetever else I plug in there.

You can get them at pretty much any automotive parts store for like $3
I have that one and these behind the seats

The one I put in the center console was actually harder than it looks. There was a metal frame going all the way around the console and it ended up being right in the way so I had to weld brace on and cut out a section to clear.
