Power Windows & Locks???

I have a 97 reg. cab, and it has manual locks and windows, i know there are kits to change make them power, but i was wondering would it be cheaper and/or cheaper to just buy 2 complete doors from a junk yard or something and just swap the doors out, has anyone done this? what else would i need besides the doors. color matching would not be a problem because the truck will be getting a new paint job. Thanks

I wouldn't get the whole doors as it's just extra stuff you don't need to buy. Buy the door modules and door panels. What GM calls the door module means behind the interior door panel, that black sheetmetal piece that pretty much holds everything. Get the wiring too.

Unless you just wanna buy a pair of doors!

This subject came up a while back, and people were going back and forth about aftermarket kits vs. OEM stuff; I'd buy OEM for quality reasons. Just me.
