View Full Version : guys with big screens in your dash

im moulding a 10.2" screen into my dash. i have a jumpseat in my truck. ive mounted my ac controls down in that little piece of lower dash right under the pullout ashtray and the cigarette lighter plugins...now my question is where should i mount my deck? any of you guys got pictures of where you put your stuff? it wouldnt be a problem if i had the centerconsole but having the jumpseat is proving to be a problem

Maybe some how put the deck in the overhead console? :dunno: I know you would have to enlarge the hole and make some kind of fiberglass deal to hold it, but that is the only place I can think of. Is this what you are going for?

Do you have any pics of how your A/C controls are mounted?

where is the deck at in that truck

It has the tahoe/suburban console.

EDIT: BTW thats a 10.4 inch screen, so I guess you could copy that.

MattMan you got any pics of that screen like you you were standing in the passenger door running along the dash(like a side view from the grab bar?)

i got pics in my gallery of my 9" flushed in, I put the head unit in the pocket on the center console.

You couldnt fit the a stereo in that upper console atleast notif you have the short one. I was going to just take the face plat off my stereo and mold it in up there and then put the deck hidden somewehre with a 6 disc.

then you just hardwire the faceplat all the way back to where ever you are hiding the actual stereo at.
