I had a harnes short out on me the other day but I got that fixed but in my haste I unplugged a wire that obviously operates the blower (everything but the blower workd fine now) It is a large purple wire that goes from the top of the blower. This is on a 1991 c1500 stepside.

Once it leaves the blower it goes into the speed control relay

Once it exits the relay it has a white plug that obviously plugs into somthing but I can for the life of me find it.

If any of you have any pics of you dash or wiring diagrams please help me. It is about 1 billoin degrees here in Mississippi and I have no AC:rocket:

Doesn't that purple wire just plug into the blower motor itself?

Yes one end does go onto the blower and then to the relay then out of the relay to somewhere????? cant figure out where the other end goes.

Ok I see what you are saying now, could it possibly go to the controls or the resistor pack? What year is your truck?

Sorry I edited my origional post. It is a 1991 1500 stepside. There is no slot on the relay pac that is not taken. So I dont see how it can go there. You can see that the wire has a harness on it but I cant find the male end of it anywhere.

This is right behind the glove box right? I have an 89 so mine should be wired the same. If you don't figure it out by tonight I will pull my glovebox and see where it goes.

You know just for a temperary fix you could just run a 12V power wire to the blower you would only have high speed but it would be better than nothing....just a thought. :mexsmoke:
Edit: Just put a toggle switch on it and a fuse and run it right from the battery.

That purple end goes to the blower motor itself. You might have to pull the glove box door to get to it. It's going from the resistors on top of the blower housing, to the relay, then it goes to the blower motor. You will have a black ground wire and then the Purple wire to the blower motor. If you look behind the glove box you will see the black ground wire going to the blower motor... look to the left of it and you should see the other prong,it's not right next to the black wire, but over maybe 2 or 3 inches.
