well my 01 silverado has started peeling on the passenger side. since the dash is gloss black underneath i found a way to get the dye off. mine is in the sun most of the day so the dye gets rubbery. you can take like an eraser or a piece of rubber and roll it off. i did about a square foot in about 5 minutes. a customer gave us a bunch of rubber sheets that go between rolls of paper at a mill. works great.
