Chintzy 2001 Factory Visors

I just bought a 2001 Silverado 1500HD with the LT package. Nicest truck I have ever owned, with lots of nice features. But the visors suck! They don't extend at all and that is a real PIA. ANother stupid thing is having to hook them bass-ackwards to the little hooks, but that's another story.

I just want some visors that will block the sun in my side window. The best visors I ever owned were on a 1986 S10 Tahoe 4x4 - each whole visor slid out to cover the spot on the window next to my head. Anything like that available for my '01 1500HD?

I would even be happy with visors that have the silly plastic extenders that slide in and out of the visors to help shade the side window. I saw some of those on a 90s S10, and a friend's Nissan Titan has them also. Any extendables made that would fit my truck?

I read elsewhere that someone had 2 visors on each side of a GMC Sierra in an '02 or '03 truck... are those extendable? Would they work in a Chevy?

My interior color is Medium Gray, if that matters. I tried my local Chevy dealer, that was no help at all.

I am in the exact same boat. Where can I get visors, preferably double visors, that will block the entire top of the driver door window (and preferably the top of the windshield simultaneously?)

I agree about the sun visors. I purchased a 2000 Silverado LT series truck. The visors were too short. Before I new anything about EBAy, I ordered a new set with extensions from the stealorship. They work good but cost about $130.0O Ouch. You can find them on Ebay for about $50. Good Luck

Seriously!! I just bought a 99 Sierra and I was convinced the guy had the headliner redone because the visor hooks are facing forward, every time I go to put it down it pushes forward into the windshield, stupid design!!!! I'm wondering if I can just flip them around?? anyone know?
