I have a 1981 GMC short bed pick up for sale.
Engine:
-396/402 Chevy big Block from a 1970 Chevelle SS.
-Hydraulic lifters
Aftermarket flat top performance pistons(not the stock 1970's flat top pistons)
-Headers
-Triple spring rockers
-Carb spacer (High rise)
-Edelbrock 700 cfm 4 barrel carb
-BRAND NEW K&N air intake!
-Edelbrock Performer RPM intake
-oversize cam
-Flowmaster mufflers
The engine does NOT smoke or burn ANY oil and it does NOT leak any oil either! The truck is VERY fast and the engine is VERY strong. New battery and altanater belt. THe engine runs on 110 fuel but can be run on 93 octane. Surprisly its very good gas milage with all the horsepower. The guy who built the engine says its pushing 500 hosrepower. Its was professaly built by my freinds dad who builds cars for stock car racing in the local area.
Body: The truck is Red and looks pretty good yet. The box has no rust but has some paint chips in it. No tailgate. The cab's driver side cab corner is rusted out. There is no interior what-so-ever! Just two seats, sheering wheel, shifter, pedels, and gauge cluster. Windows are fine and work(manualy). The hood doesn't latch but it has hood pins. The quater panels are dented a little. But the paint is very shiny. Doesn't have bed side covers like in the picture.
It has a Turbo 350 transmission rebuilt with racing parts with racing in mind. To go along with that it has a Hurst Slap shifter. The tranny is just beginning to leak. It was never blown and I stop driving it as soon as it started leaking. Most likly its just a seal but I'm too busy to fix it and I need money because I don't have any. Other than that I never had a problem with it and it's very strong and reliable.
The transfer case is strong, have no problems with it, never have.
It has a 4-core radiator to keep things cool. It never over heated on me and I never had a problem with that.
It has Dana 44 3/4 ton axles with 4:56 gears. The front has a Detroit Locker and the rear is lincoln locked.
It has a 4 inch Superlift but it looks like a 6. Its missing the rear shocks.
It has BFG all-Terrain 35's with half the tread left. Some times when the truck is parked at the right spot two of the tires leak but thats no big deal just patch them up.
It has a Michigan state park sticker on it so if you live in Michigan, its saves you $20 if you would take it in the dunes! And if you buy it soon I'll leave the Anheuser-Busch kig on as the gas tank. Other wise I want it and I'll put a stock gas tank on. This truck was built with mudding and 4-wheeling in mind so there is no wires and nothing electric on this truck other than the headlights and anything to keep the engine running. It has pop-in fuses a water-temp gauge with an oil pressure gauge.
I am asking $2,800 obo. If you would like to give a price then shoot it out. I can part it out BUT the engine has to go first because this way it doesn't sit in my barn forever taking up space. If more pictures are wanted I can get them. Shipping is on you how ever way you want it.
