I went to take my truck out tonight, and there was no backlight behind the gauges
the thing that lets you know headlights are on, and the wait to start (diesel), etc...
I did just put new headlights in this morning, but I don't see how that would have messed up the back light.
is there anything I should be looking for? or is it just a bulb
sorry I put it in the audio electronics forum first, I had that part off forum bookmarked so I just posted there befor seeing this section of the forum

cool, I could not think of anything I would have done by installing new headlights
i guess it was one heck of a coincidence :whatever:

Might sounds like a dumb suggestion, but make sure you didn't just accidentally roll the panel bulb dimmer down. That would turn them off. ;-) Sometimes it's easy to bump that switch and not realize it.

nope, didn't roll dimmer down
the radio, air/heat control are out also, so now I am really lost
I pulled all the fuses I could think it would be and nothing:wtf:
any body know what fuse it SHOULD be, and which to try, or any other opinions are welcome as well
thanks

Sounds like a fuse.
Did you check the fuses in the engine bay?

You don't say whether it's NBS or OBS. At any rate, if you read your owner's manual it should have a section towards the rear that tells you what fuses do what. Use that to determine what fuse you need to check & replace.

Which fuse was it? Got the same thing on my '96 Tahoe and couldn't find a fuse out.
