Well I just finished painting some interior pieces and they came out great. I had been wanting to do this for a long time. I plan on getting the chrome Esky Interior handles too. While I was painting, I decided to smoke my OEM and Chrome Euro tails with the extra paint and clear I had.

Man, those things were a bitch. I orignally taped off the inner area of them and was just gonna shoot the outsides. However, after the first go around, I quickly learned that the primer had seeped under the tape and it looked like **** when it was all cleared. I also shot them the first time around with my larger gun and used my touch up gun this time around.... much better results. It took a lot of intricate sanding to get into those grooves. They're so little, but such a PITA to get smooth. I tried painting my dash and bezel with no success, so that went to my painter and I'll be getting that back tomorrow.

It all looks great, but the job you did on the tail lights is the best that I have seen on here in quite a while. Great job :5stars:

Well, I didn't paint anything vinyl. The actual door panel in made out of vinyl, but all the pieces I did were just regular plastic. I basically washed all the pieces with dawn dish soap, wiped down with a wax/grease remover, block sanded with 80 grit, then 180 grit, primed via DupliColor 'High Build' can primer 3 coats, block sanded again with 400 grit, re-primed 2 more coats, then sprayed with PPG Deltron Black via my HVLP touch up gun (4-5 coats), then waited 30 min and cleared with Omni Clear coat (3-5 coats). I let everything dry for about 18 hrs and it came out great.

Well, to be honest, it was a spur of the moment job. I didn't plan on smoking them. I mixed my PPG Deltron Black paint with the clear and added a splash of lacquer thinner. I mixed everything and sprayed it with my HVLP touch up gun. I sprayed about 5 light coats, but got some runs in the first pair of tails (which I had to colorsand out). All in all it came out great for a first attempt. I would reccommend mixing a little more clear than black when trying.

Clean job. The Speaker grills look awesome in black with the contrast from the light door panels. Those smoked tails are some of the best ive seen, you do awesome work.

I think smoky light lenses are impractical and maybe even dangerous (don't even bother flaming me about that, I really don't care), but even so I think those were done extremely well. Super fine work!

The tail lights are awesome, It looks like the plastic was suppose to be that color. Would never know they was home-made unless you told everybody, If I were you I would tell everybody I did that!
