ok, after searching in ebay, it seems the door panels for the 99-02 trucks are the same as the 03-07 trucks? am i correct on assuming this? I'd like to add power windows and door locks to my '07 base silverado (as well as better speakers).
also, ran across a post about cruise control - i looked under the hood and it doesnt appear that i have the motor (only one cable at the T/B) so wouold it be absurdly expensive to add it in?
lastly, stock stereo size..appears to be double-din, but ive always known GM to use 1.5-DIN sizing..does anyone know for sure what it is? I'd like to install a Kenwood DPX-501.

The door panels from 99-02 are a little different than the 03-07. The power window switch and lock panel mount to the rest of the panel differently. It sounds like your truck is non-power and I'd say those panels will swap easily.
I can't help ya on the cruise and radio though I do know the new radios are definitly larger than the older ones.

as long as i can make them function, im not too concerned about the switches being ina different place - as long as the door panel itself will line up with the plastic tabs and be a direct replacement for the rather cheap-feeling W/T door panels i have now!!
what is more cost effective, adding cruise and power options to a W/T or buying an LT truck to begin with? i got a good deal on this W/T, only financed 12,700...

depending on what you want. I purchase mine, 2004 rcsb with 32k on the clock with all options and the 5.3 v-8 for 15900 out the door. I'm happy with it.

Its possible to add factory power locks to an NBS as there are spots in the left electrical center for the relays, windows they did not leave any place for wiring as all the trucks with power windows get the pdm/ddm.
There is no second cable for cruise, its done all via the BCM now since its electronic throttle control.

Yes, the 07 radio is double din configuration. I think they changed this in 03 as well.

ok, so about the cruise - its all electronic now? so...is there wiring i can look for in the steering column to verify weither or not jsut adding the cruise/turn signal stalk will activate the option? I've read other posts where thats all they did..

Not sure if this translates to 07s or not... but my NBS '01 manual says there is a cruise control module located at top of firewall under the hood near the driver's side hood hinge. Looks like it would be below the curved fender brace. You could look to see if you have that. It shows a 10-pin connector which I think would hook to the passenger side of it.
If you have that then you'd probably just have to add the switch and you would be good, unless you had to have the computer re-flashed.
