Has anyone swapped a set of leather seats into a regular cab truck? Are all the trucks prewired for the power and seat heaters from the factory?
Or would it be easier to just have the seats recovered in leather?

A lot of what you are asking depends on your truck and what year truck the seats are coming out of. I have an 05 and it had the power under the drivers seat only. No power for the heat.
Now because I got a hold of seats from a 99 the connector on the seats was different so I had to do some wire splicing to get things hooked up correctly.
Another area of concern will be all the sensors for seat belts and possiblly passenger indicator. You will have to make sure that is in the new seats or transfer it over from your old seats to the new seats. It can be done just have to be careful.
Have a nice day.

I would probably need to find a set from an 03+ for it to work. I think thats when they did the whole air bag sensor thing.

You can get seats that are prior to 03+, just be aware you will have to swap over the sensors. The seats I put into my 05 came from a 99. A little bit of work but I was able to accomplish it in my driveway.

I did the swap. I got the wiring harness from the guy though. My truck was prewired for driverside power but no passenger. It is really an easy swap. I did mine including changing wiring harness in less than 2 1/2 hours.

Wow! Looks really good. How did you end up wiring the passenger side? If I got seats from an 05 or 06 would it be a direct fit? Was it hard to install the center console part?

Everything was pretty easy actually. As for the wiring of the passanger side, since the guy gave me a whole new harness, I just removed the seats, removed the plastic door still plates and other misc plastic pieces, pulled the carpet up, and unplugged the old harness and ran the new one. It sounds complicated but it was really easy. Like I said the whole job took less than 2 1/2 hours from start to finish. As for the 05+ seats I think you would still need the harness or some wiring to make the passanger side work. You could just tap into the existing wiring but since the guy I got the seats from gave me the whole harness I opted to just do that.

This is the exact issue I am having. I have an 02 LS manual seats and I bought 03+ leather power heated. It does not seem like the driver or passenger seat are wired.
Where does the harness plug into? I will just go buy the damn thing, but I have no idea where it would go.
Second, how do you get the heated seats to work? Dosent it interface with the BCM?
Also, how did you mount it into a non heated seat door panel?
