this weekend im going to add blue LEDs to my stock dash cluster, my only concern is are the Blue leds to bright??? almost maybe distracting. if so give me a rating or somthin on a scale of 1- 10 being to bright.
another question is are all of the bulbs in the cluster the same, because im thinking of changing my signals etc.
thanks

No the dash led's are fine at night in fact they are great they light up great w/ a stock cluster, I did mine w/ the stock cluster and the escalade cluster, I like both but I like the esky being in there better for the most part. Here is a great website to look for the led's :http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-bin/store/commerce.cgi?product=CAR&keywords=&cart_id=8054561.29175&next=50
I would go w/ the 6 led 194's you need 6 of them for the dash lights, they require just a lil bit of sanding around the edge of the bas of bulb to fit, but it is worth it.
As for to turn signals and stuff you need new sockets for the bulbs prolly because those bulbs are stuck in the stock housings and you cant get them out because of there design. there are 4 of them bulbs, and they are a weird number like a 74 or 78 i cant remember. I am workin on finding new sockets or modifying my existing ones I will keep you posted.
If you have any other questions, Just ask Bro that is why we are here.

if they are too bright, you can always dim them

Leds do not dim with the factory dimmer you need a pulse modulator to achieve the dimming effect. You are pretty much stuck with full bright or off, on country roads at night they are distracting, but then I usually drive with no lights since there is really no need to see the gauges on those roads.

True they do not dim like our normal lights, but they do have a half-way point where you can dim them to about half their brightness. Thanks for the tip on how to get them to dim like normal lights though. When I get back from my trip in about a week, I will snap a pic. I guess I shouldve done before and after pics on both the stock gauge cluster and escalade one I have now. Keep checking back I'll have my pics in a couple of days or so.
