View Full Version : Interior color change??
Right now my truck has the stock dark red interior and I'm wanting to change it to the stock grey interior. Would I just follow the tech articles on doing this? And how would I get the texture back if I sanded it down? And would I be able to armorall it if I painted? Also is painting the best way get it to match a stock color? Sorry for all the questions I would just rather do it my self than pay alot of money to get it done.

Are you talking about smoothing and painting or dying? If you're talking about dying it here ya go:
I changed my interior color to grey as well. Don't paint it, go to a auto body supply store and get some color dye, if you want it to look like factory buy it by the pint and use a spray gun like that's hooked up to the air compressor. I used 2 pints on mine, cost $90. To prep it I cleaned it with laquer thinner, then sprayed it with Fantasik and then put Comet on it and let it sit, then I pressure washed it. I did the Fantastik, Comet, and pressure wash about 2 more times. There is no sanding required if the prep work is performed properly. Then it's ready to spray. The dye goes on real easy and dries in 10 min. I wouldn't armor all it for at least a day or 2.
