body droppin the ol' skool

ok well now that i have my rolling chassis on my 68 almost done, i and getting ready to prep the body. i have a 5.5" drop on the front and a 6" on the rear. since i have had my troubles with airbags in the past, i chose to do a conventional drop. Now my only question is that i would like the body to sit a little bit lower. i was hoping to gather some words of wisdom from you all. i have never channelled aka body dropped anything except a few hot wheels and scale modelsso your opinions would be greatly appreciated, as well as any tips to offer!

i know of a guy who has body dropped a '69. i think it was 2.5 inches mabey 1.5 i don't remember. he is a real nice guy i know form another board. i can dig up his email if you would like and mabey he could help you out.

Well...let's see.... I personally have been working on it for about 3 months. My uncle started the project about 2 years ago... working on it in his spare time on and off. (started getting too many projects...that's why I took it over, he wants to dedicate his "project-time" to his '56 Chevy shoebox)

pretty much decided to go with DJM 5/5 with a small C-notch.

Need to drop by and take a gander at that frame...is it rollin' yet?

James (tahoe) told me dad had all the HoK stuff at the last meeting and that "my" color looks unreal.... dammmit I almost stopped by too, oh well

yeah well dad did have the color sample of your HoK kolor! it looks bad *ss, no the frame is here but not rolling, waiting on Dadd to finish powdercoating a few of the components like the spindles, rotors, u-bolts for the loxwer control arms and the front coils. so rolling chassis is still a lil bit aways! also , i still gotta send of the axles to have the lug pattern changed and buy my new gears..........all that takes $$$$ btw i tried calling you friday nite when we were at the meeting, but there was some real weird message on your voicemail?? did you get it?

hey man, i tried to contact him, but it seems he may be offline for awhile..................i do however have some links to the other board i was talking about where he and others have posted about doing them on 67-72's. the guy i was originally trying to put you iin contact with board name is 69 longhorn and ther is another guy on here named big 71 who has done one.............check it out...................also this baord i am linking to is probly one of the most reasourcefull message baords for 67-72 trucks and there forum goes almost non stop all day:D
