I found it with the wedge. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9741840671&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=9741848148&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=StoreCatToStoreCat&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widgethttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=9741840671&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RSCC_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=9741848148&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=StoreCatToStoreCat&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget

It's a little expensive though.

BrettD, can you send me a link to the one you bought?

I can tell you that you are not get any decent illumination with that single led bulb replacement I had to use 5 leds just to illuminate my headlight switch.

How did you get five in there? My switch just came with the single bulb and socket.

You can fit 5 with a little bit of patience and soldering...

I agree, my headlight switch was a little dim with the stock blub.
Do I need a 5 light led or add/fab 5 seperate single leds?
Either way i'll just try it with my one single led bulb and see how bad it is
then start fabing if it doesnt cut it. i'll post the results

OK hekg,
The bulb u found would fit better than the one I got but I just ground the base and got it to fit but Tahoe 400 was right on the money it is so dim its not right so unless we add a few single led bulbs to the unit and make them aim at the back of the face or use a 194 bulb which contains 6 leds (this style bulb claims it gives off side lighting unlike the single led which uses one beam and make that fit. back to the drawing board..Oh yea be careful opening the switch I had 3 copper little dumbel looking rollers fall out and I dont know what the do.

basically when you open the switch you rill find a clear light pipe and basically you attach the leds along that to illuminate the switch, 1 for each icon, 1 for knob, and 1 for the text. Tap the power from the bottom where that bulb was. To get even distribution and to avoid hot spots I machined the head flat, then an inverted cone in the center, and frosted more work is involved but i think the outcome is well worth it.
