I have the floor console from a 00 in my 91, but only the floor portion because I have a 5 speed. It looks awesome with my Firehawk T/A buckets I nabbed from the scrap yard. If you want I'll get some pics even though it isnt the exact same as the full console you posted.

I put in an '01 in mine, but it was two piece and I removed the front piece and made it work. I have seen that console on another thread months ago, it was cut to fit. The OBS dash is not the same shape and trying to mate them is tough. Good luck.....

Did mine. Not hard at all. You can make the bracket from the back work. The bracket from the front you will have to add a piece to it.

99Kon - Did you put the front piece on too? Or just the rear part of the console?

Here is the same console, but I used MDF and extended it to meet the dash. 3 pieces of MDF and some bondo and you can make it look custom.

Sorry I don't have any progress pics, this was my 1st attempt at this and really didn't know how it was going to turn out. It is easy though, cut a piece of 3/4" mdf the same shape as the end of the console and screw it thuroughly to the console. Next, run 2 pieces of 1/2" mdf and attach 90 degrees to the 1st piece of mdf and scribe the end next to the dash. After it is cut close but not perfect, put aluminum tape on the dash (this won't stick to the bondo) and fill in the gaps snug to the dash and let dry. Sand and paint and your done. I hope this helps, good luck....

Do a search for a member by the name of lowdown. If I remember correctly, he has one in his regular cab OBS.

I am just using whats in the pic. Had trouble with the front piece trying to make it not look thrown in there, so imjust going to run it like that untill I can do something like neptune1230!

Looks real good neptune!

would anyone be interested in tradng their obs console for a 2001 silverado center console that i've filled the front hole in and sanded most of it to 800 grit? I cut the bottom to attempt to get the shape of the floor but so far I dont have the time or patients to make this work and I'm pretty at a point where I'm not sure how to make it work. I dont have the time or skills so if soemone wants to attempt to make a nbs work in their obs i'd trade.

I did it for a while...... getting it to line up with floor curves was not super easy. I ended up going back to a smoothed obs console

Not very good pics but I did it. Installed 96 leather buckets that I dyed black and a console from a 2000. Going to make a front for it like shown above and add a touch screen.

What did you use to dye them?

What did you use to dye them?

SEM colorcoat vinyl and leather dye. Make sure you use thier prep first and then coat. Will turn out great and hold up awesome!

How much did you need for each seat?

About 1 can or so for each. Do a couple light coats. DO NOT spray on thick like paint, this is a dye that takes a little time to soak into the material.
