Well i went to install some white glow gauges i bought from ebay, and the piece of junk didn't work. of course there was a no return policy so i threw it away. went to bed that night with parts of my dash all over my living room (and my wife wondering how much longer our living room would be my shop table lol). So i went to walmart and bought victory red touch up paint and painted the middle black plastic part of each needle. then sanded with 320 grit paper all of the "orange" off of the needle itself. in the picture the flash almost make the needles look invisible, but with the light that dash emits through them, they appear "frosted" and "ice-like". they look REALLY cool. I'm VERY happy with the way it turned out. And i guess I did a good job cleaning the dash glass because my wife was looking at them the next day when we got in the truck to go somewhere and was like "baby they look good but why didn't you put the glass back over them?" LOL I told I did, she said "what? touch it, i don't believe you" LOL so now i have clean dash glass with my own custom needles. sorry for the long post i was just excited about them :) whatcha think? looks cool i did something like that when i replaced the bulbs behind my gauges with blue bulbs, i sanded off the orange then painted the back of the needles with silver, has a cool metallic look during the day and glows blue at night, didnt paint the centers of the needles though looks like a cool idea

silver is a good idea man, i kept thinking about painting them white but thought it might look to candy-ish. but silver sounds badass.
