I have an '02 Chevy with the leather wrapped steering wheel.

I got a little scracth on the leather... how can I take care of it so it doesn't bother me, or get bigger?

Dunno how to fix it, but if it is on the front of the steering wheel you can get different color or a carbon fiber snap-on cover. It allows you to still feel the leather on the backside, but it covers the front. I would put armor all or son of a gun protectant on it. Leather is pretty tough stuff , I don't think it will tear more unless it is cut all the way through....

the front of mine is tore all to hell from 4 years of use... like he said they make covers that snap on that come in carbon fiber and even paintable now I think

It's a small scratch on the top right.

It's only a month old!!!!

Don't want to have to have a cover yet....

if it's only that old warranty will cover it.

You might look into an aftermarket one, but those generally don't have airbags, or maybe a kit that let you rewrap the steering wheel. Those kits usually aren't that expensive best I remember, or an upholstery shop probably could rewrap it with new leather.

For the steering wheels, use the leather cleaner/conditioner. I've been using Meguairs and it's perfect. Use a lot on the steering wheel and do it a couple of times. The wheel gets the most dirt and oil from your hands. Leather doesn't like that.

dwil, take it back to the dealership and tell them that it was like that when you picked up the vehicle. They'll cover it under warranty.

We're about to carry a full line of aftermarket leather/wood/carbon fiber etc. wheels at JP Customs. You can get pretty much anything you want and the quality is better than factory. We can get colored leather, two tone leather, wood/leather, just to name a few.
If you have something special you're looking for, email me at jpcustoms@jpcustoms.com and let me know what you're looking for.
They're going to be added to the website very soon.
