painting plastic pieces

What can I use to paint these so they will last. The problem is the little button gets use from opening the center console so I need something that will last a while. The guy that's dyeing my other console pieces said i cant do much with them because of the kind of plastic. The dealer says that I cant buy those seperately...gotta buy the whole top...$597!!!:crazy: :cussing: Any ideas?

you could take it to a body shop and get their paint guy to do it. my dad teaches autobody and he just painted his plastic engine cover red on his avalanche to match the exterior. used clear over it too. its been like that for 4 months now. looks real good. should be the same for interior pieces, just make sure they get it really clean to prevent fish-eye..

Ok.....Sin Tell me how you seperated the console door without breaking it. I was going to do it but I didn't want to crack or break it, and I was not going to spend the $$$ for a new one, that's just to much.
