I just installed a set of NR Auto white face gauges in my 2001 GMC, and as the instructions suggested, I pulled off the stock black gauge plate (or sticker I guess I should say). Is this what most people do? I started to leave the stock plate on and put the white over it, but was afraid it wouldn't line up right or that the light wouldn't show thru. I kept the old one and didn't bend it, so I suppose I could always swap back if I wanted....

I have the white needles on mine tho, Yes we also removed the stock sticker panel thingy. Then we placed the NR Auto overlay on the cluster itself. I still have my stock one also in a drawer along with the needles......I think by doing what we did we would get better light out of the cluster!:D
