I'm new to the forum. I just purchased a 95 4 door tahoe 5 months ago, within 2 months i decided to redo the interior. I'm a huge fan of camo all kinds doesnt really matter to me.. For my truck I went with advantage camo because it fits the stock interior colors the best and personally I love the look. This was my first attempt at any interior "modding" and I think it turned quite well. here are some pics

Thanks for all the awesome comments dudes!!! I don't have a write up on this project. I spent a little over a weekend on the entire thing. Most of the time it was waiting for the contact cement to dry.

http://memimage.cardomain.net/member_images/2/web/374000-374999/374724_236_full.jpg how did you remove the carpet no the lower door panel and what did you use to get the camo to stick there and on the headliner
Looks great....very clean too
I did my door panels that way too. Did you spray adhesive over top of the factory material and stretch the fabric around and tuck it behind the factory stuff to hold it in?

its is just held in with plastic clips....you will have to take the door panel off then pus then out from the back, they should go back in if you didn't break them off
here is what the back of the insert looks like

Yeah, that's what I was afraid of because i saw your tread before and I already tried that on mine but I just did the bottom part, my upper part is glued to the door panel so i think I'm just going to try my best with it. Thanks and u did a great job un yours, I'll post pics of mine ASAP.

When I had my panel off I saw no way in hell to get carpet off the bottom door panel. I said f*ck it and laid a boat load of contact cement down over the existing carpet and tried to roll it down as much as I could. Then I just laid the camo over it with more contact cement. It turned out quite well and is fairly smooth. Since the camo is so "busy" you can't really tell of any imperfections plus you never feel down there anyways and its not going to be a show truck so it doesn't matter to me atleast.

superglue.....or something like that. I don't know if the dealer sells the clips but there are about 10 or so clips back there so having one missing should not hurt anything :dunno:

Missing the two on the tip may hurt me though! :slap: I might check to see what they cost at the stealership. (the entire peice)

On the bottom part I just yanked out of the way, I figured if I'm going to put suede on top of it it might look bad with the carpet on the bottom. So grab some pliers and yank on it as much as you can.

Damn.... I haven't been on here in awhile. Thanks for all the great feedback!! I really didn't expect it. I used regular old contact cement found at home depot and pretty much any hardware store. As far as the fabric goes, I picked it up at this wholesale discount fabric store where they have pretty much ANY type of fabric you could want. They don't have an internet site and I have yet to find a shop that carries this kind of camo. BUT for anyone seriously wanting the stuff I could make a special trip back there and pick some up and send it out!! let me know. I apologize for the late response... thanks again

ilikeitloud, i know this thread is old but i'm looking into doing this to my 98'. i've been talking to a few other guys that have done it and they say the door panels are a piece of cake. but i'm worried about the headliner. i know a lot of guys just cover their existing headliner material with the new camo, but my headliner is already sagging so i want to take it off and put the new camo on. should i try and salvage my old foam or just buy a material with the the foam backing? and also what grade adhesive did you use on the headliner and have you had any sagging issues? thanks man
