Well I just bought this center console

Its out of a 73-87 K5 Blazer. I'm gonna spray paint it with vinyl/plastic dye to match the color of my interior with this

Then I think I'm gonna paint the cupholders and the hinges a bright red.

I'm gonna put it in between these seats that I bought last week

How does this idea sound. What do I need to do with like cleaning it before I paint all these things. I want this to come out looking good and I don't wanna half ass it.

Also how would I go about mounting this in my truck. I'm guessing I'm gonna have to make some brackets to mount it.

Any feedback on this would be great. Thanks guys :D

I always wipe it down with rubbing alcohol and then use "Bulldog" which helps the paint adhere better, you can get it @ any parts store. Make a bracket with steel or wood, it doesn't matter, and bolt it down. Good luck....

Thanks a lot for the info. This Bulldog stuff your talking about, does it come in a spray can? What does it do just help the paint stick and not peel up?

I was also thinking about getting the outline of a bowtie like a sticker and putting it down before I paint it so theres a grey bowtie on it. Any ideas on what to do with that? Thanks

Just to clear this up. This is what your talking about right?

I'm sure I can find it in Pep Boys cheaper but I just wanted to make sure I got the right thing.

That's it, I usually don't paint anything without using it 1st.
