I have a 2005 silverado and I'm trying to remove the front seats but I dont have the right socket to do the job. I think its called a star socket but not sure does anyone know where I can find one and what size it is?
Thanks

You don't need the start socket. I have removed my seats many times, you can use a 11mm and 15mm if I recall the sizes correctly. Mine were deal well 6 point sockets and I was able to remove the seats and also get them back in nice and tight using the metric sockets.
Have a nice day.

They're called E-torx. GM seats supposedly use a special type (depth/wall thickness), I have the socket at work, but haven't needed to use it yet. Just use a metric six point that fits like Quadrasteer said. 9 times out of 10 it will do the job just fine.
