guage cluster lights out

i took out my guage cluster on my 93 a while back and when i put it back in the idiot lights come on and the guages work but the back lights dont come on, i checke the fuse and its ok what could this be??? Thanks

Make sure the connectors are making good contact. The thin plastic sheet thing on the back of the cluster may have moved around a little when you were putting it back in. Try loosening the cluster screws and wiggling it a little.

i took apart the whole dash thinking it was a bad ground.....didnt find any. put everything back together and it works.....looks brighter now then it was before..probably becuz i cleaned all the damn grounds i could find...hopefully it stays working
