Just figured I'd throw this up on here and see what kind of interest it drums up. Looking to sell it probably in the next month or two. I'll try to get some new pictures soon.
The truck is a (OBS) '99 GMC K1500 Suburban SLT. Pewter exterior/gray leather interior. Almost all the options, doesn't have heated seats or power passenger seat. Barn door style rear doors. Tow package. 3rd seat.
This truck has never been wrecked, has no rust, and has spent its entire life in the care of my father and I in Richmond, Virginia (Not too much salt exposure). It has a clean title, and no liens.
The body isn't perfect. It has quite a few small dings/dents, and scratches. It doesn't look too bad from 15' but up close it has some imperfections. The paint is still shiny over the entire truck, and the chrome is also. The rear bumper has been slightly bent on the driver side and straightened, but doesn't sit quite perfectly.
I love this truck. I'm only selling it because I do a lot of towing, and the time has come to step up to something a little larger and heavier duty, so I'm picking up a Duramax soon.
My dad bought this truck brand new, and I got it in '04.
~125k miles. Lots of highway miles, but some city driving too. Never seen much offroad beyond driving down dirt/gravel roads.
LOTS of work done, all maintenance kept up on
-Bilstein HD shocks (~40k miles)
-Upper plus Balljoints (~15k miles)
-Inner+outter tie rods (~15k)
-Cryogenic "Frozen" Powerslot rotors (~10k)
-Stainless steel brake lines (~10k)
-Master Cylinder and Brake Booster (~10k)
-Polygraphite front swaybar bushings, new endlinks, and poly rear swaybar bushings (~12k)
-K&N/JBA Stainless Steel 3" catback (~30k) (Stock exhaust can be reinstalled at no extra charge and is included with the vehicle if you want it)
-K&N Drop-in (~40k)
-Full tuneup at 90k miles (Plugs, wires, rotor, cap)
-New water pump, coolant flush, and 180* thermostat (~15k)
-Slightly cranked torsion bars up front, Trailmaster add-a-leaf in the rear (~30k)
-B&M Shift Improver
-Royal Purple fluid in the rear differential (~8k)
-Run only on Synthetic for the past 50k miles -- Mobil1 and Amsoil using a Purolator Pure1 or Amsoil filter
-Electronic brake controller + wired for 7 pin RV style plug AND 4 pin flat plug
-It'll have a new windshield in it (Current windshield is cracked, I'll have it replaced)
All of the normal problem areas have been addressed
-Somewhere around 60k the intake manifold gaskets were done
-4x4 electronic shift relay/box was replaced
The air conditioning has been recharged, and blows out the vent at a chilly 38*.
The suspension is relatively stiff, and is very conducive to towing. It pulls my car trailer and our boat very well, and is very stable at highway speed. Handling and cornering ability is greatly improved over stock.
I have a full Performance Suspension Technology polygraphite bushing set. I've installed them on one upper control arm, I just haven't finished yet.
Its currently sitting on 17x8 ARE Slyder wheels wrapped in brand new (Under 5000 miles) 285/70-17 BFGoodrich All-Terrain tires (Almost $1000!!). I also have two sets of stock wheels that come with the truck.
I'm sure there's a LOT more stuff I'm forgetting. I really haven't spared any expenses on this truck, and I'm always one to do preventative maintenance. I love this truck and hate to see it go, but my needs have changed so I'm afraid I have to step up to something larger (and diesel...)
I'm going to start it at $10,000 with the ARE wheels, $9,000 on stock wheels/tires.
