View Full Version : A-pillar white face gauges

Been trying to figure out a way to get the missing tranny temp gauge for my 2001 Sierra, and I ended up dropping the idea of a cluster swap because I wanted white faces gauges (ended with with NR auto - they rock), and I didn't want the hassle of having the odometer reprogrammed. Now with the white face gauges I was thinking that an A pillar gauge with white face would look cool. I have read that the sensor is already there and if I swapped the dash for the Denali this would start working automatically. I suppose the same signal could be supplied to a pillar gauge, but then I dunno if it would have to be calibrated or not, and if so how the heck and I going to figure that one out? Anyone else tried this?
only way I know to do it is go over the the pacific audio gm performance board and ask Bob Prim he's a electric genius at figureing out gm wiring

Most aftermarket guages do not share GM sender perameters...On the same note most aftermarket guages are equiped with their own sender.
Here's my silver face guages with silver overlay:
