I know people have swapped in buckets from all other makes with a little work. But I like having the bench in the truck (92 3/4 ton rc). I may be able to get ahold of a bench from a ford or dodge really cheap. Maybe from a truck or van, but can they be mounted up the same way, just drill & bolt to the chevy seat frame? If they are from a van, would a middle seat (most vans fold down) work if it's the right size?
Just wanted to know if anyone here has done it, and if so, how hard it was to do? I have tried looking for replacements, but the junkyards around here are pretty bad.
Thanks for any info, just trying to improve a little and make due.

Pretty much anything can be done. It just depends on your ability to fabricate pieces. Are you pretty good at fabricating your own brackets and stuff? I've never done this particular swap but I have done a swap of 02 silverado seats in my 77 C-10 which require extensive modifications to the floor. What I would do is decided which style you like best and go with that and then figure out a way to make it work. Most likely it'll mainly be a decision on how you want it to fit and what you can fab yourself.

I figured it would be an anything can be done situation. I was hoping I might be able to just drill and bolt to the existing seat frame/base. Thanks for the info and any more info anyone can give me.
