Door lock question

I drive an 85 silverado and the drivers side door will not lock or unlock with either side door lock switch. Is this normal? What makes the doors unlock with power? Thanks cody

You Have To Pullthe Door Panel Off And Put Power From A Jumper Wire To The Solenoid Inside The Door That Controls The Door Lock
If It Doesnt Move Its The Solenoid
If It Does Its The Swithch
