ok does anyone know how to take off the handle right above the air bag on the NBS.

pop out the vents on either side of it and there is a little button to push up on right behind where it goes into the dash and then just pull it out.

Depending on the year i think there might also be a screw on either side. Mine doesn't have one but my friends 01 does.

Mine just had the buttons. Its kinda like a headrest two pins stick straight in.

My 01 Suburban or 02 Tahoe dont have screws.

Just pop off the vents with a flat blade screwdriver and push the little white buttons to disengage the handle.

yea i got it thanks, funnt thing is, my dum ass saw em tabs and pulled em out with a screw driving thinkin they were pins, but now i got it thanks guys

i have an 05 chevy and pulled the AC vents out and could not find these buttons for the oh **** bar?wherer exactly is it and is aall you have to do is pull out the vents?
