obs vents and a/c

i couldnt think of a better title but my ? is i have a 93 silvi and i dont know if its all obs or just mine but my air flow out of the vents is pathetic. my buddy has a 96 and his blasts. someone let me know what my prob might be or if its all obs for some reason.thanx

The evaporator is probably plugged with crap just like the condensor gets plugged with bugs. Good luck getting the cover off the bottom of the HVAC unit, its a biotch. It could be a weak blower motor but usually if the motor gets weak or starts pulling hard it'll smoke the resistor and you'll have high speed only.

yeah my evap was plugged up with crap, there is no filter like in the new trucks so dirt, pinestraw, leaves get stuck in it. when i replaced my blower motor I reached up in there with a brush and cleaned most of it out and it blows much better, but still not as hard as I would like it.

Where's this at? I should clean mine out...I'm sure it's never been done.

Replace your blower motor, my brother's was out in his 89 silverado and it made all the difference in the world when he replaced it. I know they are common to go out and they are replaced a lot. Do a search on how to change out the blower fan on this website.
