hey everyone,
well I have an 81 k10, and I hate my stock gauges. the oil pressure is in notches, no numbers haha, same deal with the temp. so what i'm wondering is, is there a way to direct replace those with newer/better gauges. like I have the tach mounted on the dash which is nice, I have the tranny temp mounted right beside that which is fine. but I dont wanna end up looking like some 80's trailer park mustang :aniteef: with about 7 different gauges mounted on the dash. so what i'm wondering is, what size or do you know of any part numbers that will just bolt directly in place of my old factory gauges? thanks!

would they be about 2 inch? i'm not to concerned about wire harnesses, I can easily just cut the old wires (if I cant reuse them) and hook the new gauges up on their own

hmm sorry about that, I didnt think to use the search, I usually do that before making a thread. so basically what I got from that is there is no real direct fit gauge, its basically cut and then install. I was hoping to just pop apart the dash and be able to just slide in a new gauge haha, foolish hopes on my part. so what I need to do, is say I get a 2 5/8" I need to drill out the existing gauge at 2 5/8" and then I can slide it in?
