91 gauge cluster swap

Well i finally swapped my 91 gauges for 92 needle style, but have some problems. my battery light always stays on, all gauges work until you turn headlights on and then the oil and water gauges ground out, and the left side of the cluster wont light up. my high beam indicator wont switch on and off. the same with my daytime running lights. i think the issue is in the dimmer switch because if the lights are turnned on and the dimmer off then the gauge wont light up, buth the gauges all work. as soon as you adjust the dimmer up the needles start to ground out. any help would be appreciated.
