Stay Tuned...And thanks to Marcos, ikon, and many others who helped me decide on what parts to get when i was going to bag my old one.

how do the front cups go in? did you have to trim some in the upper spring pocket? and then just weld it up there and then for the bottom how does that go on the LCA?
Marcos
06-20-2007, 05:19 AM
No, if you get some sd or kp cups they should have a 1/2" stud on top to hold them in through the stock shock mount... and they just lay in the lower, as for the the spring pocket yes you have to trim it, depends on cup size though...

sweet...i will end up getting the ones from SD.com...im going to be getting a complete list together hopefully tomorrow nite and it would be cool if you could check it over...im going to set up my back like yours..tanks under the bed and such..and run an EDC...so any info on how you mounted your tanks and such would be great.

my cups didnt come with bolts from suicde, i dont know if it just didnt make it in the box or what, so i just got some 1/2 all thread and it worked good, just figured id throw that out there lol
Marcos
06-20-2007, 05:52 AM
My bad, you have tp ask them for it... I should of mentioned that
Marcos
06-20-2007, 05:54 AM
and also they will make the hole in the side if you want to run the airline through the framerail instead of running it out the top for a cleaner look
bootie
06-20-2007, 05:59 AM
i ended up making my own hole, it just seemed easier lol that way its the spot you want it to be, and i also had to cut my cups down for the 22s, but it may differ from the setup your using, i have the avs upper and lowers
DRAGGIN95
06-20-2007, 06:29 AM
So Bootie how tall did your cups end up being after you cut them for your 22's with the AVS arms? Thanks
bootie
06-20-2007, 06:34 AM
i cut a 1 1/4 off, but you can probably get away with cutting 1 inch off and still lay out, they were 3 inch to begin with so they are 1 3/4 tall after i cut mine

Marcos
06-25-2007, 03:03 PM
Well first I think you should maybe get the slam 7s.
Also do you weld, because I think those ART shock relocators usually break, correct me if I'm worng.
Those SMC check valves are huge so you have to have some good space for them...
Everything else looks good bro...
Nickleahy23
06-25-2007, 04:54 PM
i ment to have 2 8" bags for the rear and 2 7" for the front...ya i can weld...what would i have to do to those relocators? and for the check valves, what should i do? look into different ones? or just not run any?
bootie
06-25-2007, 04:56 PM
i dont know about the shock relocater, i dont have any in the front, but this is a personal opinion, i wouldnt run the plastic line, i use hyrdaulic line, its a barb style fitting, the line is more flexible if ou need it to be, and it handles heat a lot better than the plastic stuff, plus the fittings dont were out if you take the hose off and on more than once, but thats my opinion
those check valaves arent that big i got them on mine, ill post some pics of it tonight my cameras with the truck lol
Nickleahy23
06-25-2007, 05:05 PM
Where would i get hyrdaulic line at? just like napa or such? how bog of a deal would it be to not run shocks in the front?
Nickleahy23
06-25-2007, 05:20 PM
also is there someplace else that i could get the tanks im looking for?
Marcos
06-25-2007, 06:01 PM
Just get the sd shock relocator, and shocks make a world of difference
http://suicidedoors.com/FrontShockRelocatingKit.php
As for check valves, i used these, a lot cleaner looking

06-25-2007, 07:14 PM
alright sweet...ya those are alot cleaner looking and alot cheaper..Do the relocators just weld onto the frame then?
Nickleahy23
06-25-2007, 07:32 PM
Where did you order your 6 link from? because from SD.com, doesnt it come with the cantilever and since im going to get a watts i wont need that? would i be better off just ordering it all from kp? they said 1600 for the watts and 6 link before shipping. I also am going to order my kp gauges and my 3 tanks from them...im just not sure what to do about the 6 link.

I'm going through Jeff over at Sportruck.com for my Air Ride Tech goodies. He carries KP components as well...You'll still need the Cantilever. The watts link is just to properly locate the rear end as you raise and lower the truck. Works better than a panhard bar.

Order mine from gauge magazine, and yes you still need the cantilever with the watts, the watts you are getting is taking over for the panhard bar...

around here theres a couple places that just deal with hose, fittings and stuff like that, the names would be different im sure, but its called push to lok line, as for the shocks its not a huge deal, i dont have em on mine, and i didnt have em on the front of my tacoma either, and never had any problems

i dont have front shocks on mine, actually the shop that bagged mine put them on but i snapped the mounts, so they fixed it for me but i took the shock soff angain becasue i lik it better then withe them on i get wayyy more lift it bounces a bit but at 85 90 psi it doesnt realyl matter

Hello, if you order your 6 link and watts directly from KP, be sure to tell them to leave out the panhard bar and frame mount, I know when I bought mine, I asked them to take out those parts which you don't need anyway with a watts and it knocked off like $125.00 off the price of the 6 link. Take it easy

06-26-2007, 12:02 PM
alright well i will probably just order the 6 link from sd.com, and the watts from truckshop.com...i think i have mostly everything else figured out besides what fittings i will need and a few other things..will i be able to use a hidden hitch behind the rollpan if i do my tanks like marcos? also, with the EDC kit im getting from sd.com, will it still work if i have headers? i see the manifold mounting bracket...so im guessing its made for stock manifolds..can i just use some type of spacer to make it work since i will be wanting to use headers? Thanks again for all of the help

Yes they do, and here is a pic of where you weld it too

My rims/tires rub the LCA arm a tiny bit at full lock right where that shock would be mounted..I guess that means no shocks up front

I have that same EDC bracket, and yes you do have to make a spacer and actually have to cut off that other piece, I will get you a pic later... and yes you can run a hidden hitch, I was going to but didn't have the hitch at the time so I couldn't build around it, so now I need to change some stuff around...
Nickleahy23
06-26-2007, 07:59 PM
alright...well im not sure if i will have a hitch by the time i start, but ill check into it...where would be a good place to order one from? also, what did everyone do with there exhaust? I know that the stock exhaust hangs below the frame up front, and i want new exhaust, but i dont have the headers yet so i would be running the stock for a bit...i dont want to lay the truck down on that and mess up the heads or something...
Marcos
06-26-2007, 08:49 PM
You gonna run long tubes?
Nickleahy23
06-26-2007, 11:17 PM
I was thinking about it...i have some shorty headers from my old truck, but i dont know if i want to spend the money to get new pipe ran on those when i will be building a motor eventually and probably have vortec heads so i dont know if those headers will bolt up to the new heads...but would i be alright running long tubes with it on bags?
Marcos
06-26-2007, 11:20 PM
Depends, some you can and some you cant... I am running shorty headers on mine and have had the y-pipe raised...
Nickleahy23
06-26-2007, 11:22 PM
Im thinking i may as well just run the shortys....i have to cut my front half of my blue truck off to get to them though..and probably pull the motor...so well see if i get that done before i start everything..when you gonna be able to get some pics of the EDC? Thanks again Marcos

Thanks...well i still havent ordered anything lol..been so busy with working 12 hours a day i havent gotten on here...I got another ticket in the mail form the accident..to fast for conditions..what ever conditions those were..so 200 bucks more..and i have to get the exhaust re-run, get my hidden hitch..and a few other things...i guess its no huge hurry to get everything since after july 30th there will be no insurance on the truck since it will be about $2000 until after i get my license back...but i get fired up about it lol so hopefully after getting paid on friday i can get started.

this is kinda not important, but with the train horns i dont think that kit includes the valve and regulator... on my horn i dont have a regulator or anything and it works, but i also am using an old 3/8 parker for the valve hehe. just though i would throw that in.. BTW i really like that paint
