i lowered my 96 2 dr tahoe with the beltech kit(3-3.5) but lately i've been wanting to go lower. i was thinking of taking out one body mount or both but as i looked at it it seemed risky. does anyone make spindles for the front ?

i just lowered my truck some more with shackles in the back and i turned my key bolts down some, now my front skid plate ''touches'' the ground on high rebound.http://myspace-120.vo.llnwd.net/00437/02/11/437291120_l.jpg

I have a 92 fs blazer, turned the keys all the way and have beltech leafs and shackles in the rear, I was ok with the height at first but I would like to go a bit lower myself. Have you found any ways to do that ?

Talk to 92BLAZE. He has the same setup as US and he lowered his front another 2". He basically told me to:

go to middle underneath your truck locate the torsion keys after you put the front up on stands and pump on the emergency brake (safety 1st) grab a 18 or 19 mm socket and ratchet go back underneath, find the bolt that holds the drop key and turn the bolts left and right sides, counter clockwise to loosen that tension but make sure you dont loosen them to where they'll unscrew off.

Make sure to roll your fenders, get an alignment AND belltech drop shocks if u dont have em and you'll be ready to ride out correctly!

I plan to do mine soon. :)

BlazinX I have my torsion key bolt like 2 thread left showing.

Solo13 your tire seems small that's probably why it touches the plate in high bounce. make sure that you have at least 2 thread coming out on torsion key bolt.. and that's 18mm socket.

rear I posted before and got reply on it to take out one load spring on the bottom to lower another 1" or so. and get kit from napa.

and rolling the fender lip is important... I have piece sliced off from the lip once before I rolled them...
and shocks defiantly replace it you will have better ride.

I have 2 threads left on mine as well, the front might be alright if I can get the rear down a little more, I dont want the rake look. I also have shock extender brackets in rear.Im new to the site so Ill try and post a pic asap !

There are airbag kits for the 4x4, front and rear, requires alot of cutting, I believe it was a tech down at AIRRIDE I spoke with. It sell's for $2500, a bit pricey!!

donit, yeah I emailed them too first I was going for all bolt on. then I was going to use it at least the rear bolt on and come up with front... and if you are not goin to keep the front axle it's more work but will work. or keep it just need to make the mount.

Yeah, they told me there would be alot of cutting if I remember correct. Are you ridin on 22'z and how low are you. I'm tryin to figure out where I'll be sittin when I get tires for these 22'z. I measured my ride from the center of the stock rim to the bottom of the fender, front and back before and after having it lowered. The front measured 22.5" and so did the rear. After having it lowered it now measures 16.5" front and 17" rear.

I'm running on 20's right now. with 20's you can lay frame on 4wd. tire has to be 255/35/20 and +15mm offset will tuck the tire in.

right now I have bump stop on it so it leave about 2" in front 4" in rear to lay, (rear has 275/45/20 on it)

in front, you have to cut the bump stop, tak half shaft out, then cut it and bolt it back on so that hub won't fall out. take key and torsion bar out.
rear you just need those small c-notch in and 4 link and watts(recommended I used panhard, but I like the fact that watts won't slide the axle)

for 22's you have to make tub, bigger c-notch, and do require cut the floor for rear..
