I bought a 1988 Chevy K2500 Silverado 4x4 with a 4 speed manual tranny the other day. It has a full bench seat with no head rests.

What year of Chevy trucks and models should I be asking junk yards about if they have bucket seats and center consoles for it I want to get rid of the bench seat? Will just the trucks work or should I be looking at Blazer's and stuff?

Also, the truck is black with a wine/maroon interior and seats. The dash, door, and panels are all discolored. I have read a few threads where people have changed the colors of these panels. What is the #1 way to change the color to what you want?

Also, I really like the real tree camo seat covers I have seen pictures of. I think they look great. Where is a good place to get the seat covers that is not that expensive but a top quality product with fast service?

Thanks for any of your help.

It all depends on if you have a regular cab or extended for the swap. Let me know what you have and I'll steer you in the correct direction.

I had buckets and a center console in my '90 extended cab. I put a bench from a '91 single cab in, and it bolted right up. Only thing you'll have to do going from bench to buckets is make 2 new inner mounting points on the floor for the seats.

Thanks for the replies guys. This is a regular cab with an 8 foot box. I wish it had tilt steering, but it doesn't. I have called lot's of junk yards looking for any interiors for chevy trucks and they all just say "nope" and then act like I am wasting their time. They act like a 1988 truck is from ancient Egypt.
