will 00+ door handle fit 98 silverado?

My outside door handle broke on my silverado and I like the look of the newer handles better then the 98. Does anyone know if a 2000 door handle will fit? I have to change it anyway, why not make it something I like

Direct swap, no, they won't fit. But if you can get donor doors to take approximately a square foot of sheet metal around the handle out of, they can be grafted in. It obviously takes a good deal of bodywork, as well as modifying the linkages inside the door, but several guys here have done this. Railinchevy's is the first that comes to mind...
