Luckily the interior in my 91 is very clean. The only problem I had with it when I got it was a broken fuse box cover. And when my dad put my speakers in, he managed to break two out of four speaker grilles. So I ordered new ones from the dealership. I could get all those parts from Chevy, but some they don't make anymore. I also ordered my cupholders and they are genuine GM parts. Anyway LMC and CK resto have almost OEM quality and fit visors and they carry the door handles. However the door panels aren't cheap at all, so I recommend getting the ones from cwbigredZ. There was only one red btw. The inner door handles are all one big plastic piece that is riveted to the door. Good luck switching them out. I got my headliner redone in padded blue cloth for 90 bucks, money well spent. It had a white vinyl roof that was sagging in the corners. Also, there were three different kinds of door panels, and they are all interchangeable. There is the Silverado with the door pulls on top, the Scottsdale with the map pockets and a door handle/arm rest with a hole in it, and the Cheyenne that I have which is plain plastic and has no map pocket and an armrest.

if the headliner board is still good then you can just recover it with what ever fabric you like. pull the board down, pull off the liner, scrap all the foam crap off. then coat the board with some interior glue(got mine from napa) glue the new liner on, let dry, reinstall and your done. here is a pic of mine......

This is the only pic I have of the headliner, but it looks great and is padded, so it's soft. It's WAY better than the factory vinyl headliner with holes all in it. It's really of my LED interior light, but you can see the headliner.

I bought the plastic headliner already covered from ckresto. They don't say that the headliner won't work in a Cheyenne (without all the Silverado interior trim). Anyway, I guess I'm kind of stubborn. I kept the headliner, then spent almost two months looking in junk yards for a standard cab Silverado to get the trim. Found a '98 about a few weeks ago, just finished painting the trim with SEM, and put the last piece in this morning. Waiting on a buddy to come over and help me slide the headliner in later today.

That is one way to do it, I like not having the trim however, since mine is a Cheyenne. In some ways it's good that my truck is stripped down from the factory. I never had that black rubber trim, I didn't have the big metal Chevrolet piece on the tailgate, I didn't have the funky silverado door panels or overhead trim piece, and I don't have a cargo light or sliding rear window. Other than the obvious shortcomings of the Cheyenne, I am used to not having carpet, but have everything else a daily driver needs. If your speakers ever blow or you replace them, having just the speaker grilles is just SO convenient.

Hornsfan-- Funny you mentioned the speakers. I took the truck into town this afternoon, and I noticed that with the new trim that goes up over the rear speakers those speakers were overpowering the front. Had to reset the fade on my headunit to get the sound back where I want it. I guess the additional enclosing from the trim gives those rear speakers extra volume.

My door panels are really bad-- deep scratches. I'm going to order a pair of panels from www.ckresto.com this evening or tomorrow.
